The January 2021 Library Board meeting was called to order Monday, January 11, 2020, at 6:11 p.m.
Attendees:
Board Members: Jerry Bergman, Stacee Schmidt-Cottrell, Patty Hibler, and Laura McKeen, Jen Rose
Library Director: Michelle Daniels
Recognition of Open Meeting Rules recognized.
McKeen motioned to approve last month’s minutes. Hibler seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passes.
Librarian Report
• New Members—1 new member.
• Circulation Numbers—1167 books/DVD’s for January; 149 checkouts on Overdrive. The breakdown is available in monthly reporting.
• New Materials Review - Detailed list available at the library for January books. Adult purchases will be posted on Facebook and other social media sites.

McKeen moved that bills be approved. Hibler seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passes.
General Business
• Applied for Dollar General Grant for Summer reading
• Daniels has been attending the MLA Webinar for the Community grant training
• 39 Santa Letters were sent out for Christmas
• City repaired outlets
• Louisville Library Bookworm Buddies: Nothing new to report.
• Treasurer Report: The report was reviewed. Schmidt motioned for bills to be approved and Bergman seconded. Motion carried.
Old Business
• Back Wall - update - city took bids on wall one for $11,575 and Thrasher $13,755
• Community Outreach - library board received grant for outreach. Need to make a plan on how to proceed.
• Friends Group Update
• Virtual Fundraising - Buy a bookcase, Buy a shelf, Type of sections
New Business
• Library Accreditation - look at what needs to be done to have library re-accredited - possibly higher level - Community survey needed
• Election of new Chairman and board - McKeen - Chairman, Schmidt- Secretary, and HIbler - Treasurer - All vote expect person for position - Motions pass

McKeen moved to adjourn the meeting. Bergman seconded the motion. All in favor. The motion passes. Meeting adjourned at 7:42 pm.
